JUSTicia RUN

JUSTicia RUN is the first ten-point race in the Valley Runner of the Year Series, which includes a 5K run, two-mile walk/run, and a quarter mile kids run.

The race benefits Clovis Police Foundation, Sierra Challenge Express Running Club and the San Joaquin College of Law Student Bar Association.

RACE SCHEDULE SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH: Race Day Registration - 6:45AM Race Day Registration Closes - 7:45AM

Kids Run 1/4 Mile (ages 9 & under) - 8:00AM

2 mile Run/Walk - 8:15AM

5k Run 8:45

AM Breakfast - 8:15-10:30AM

The JUSTicia RUN also includes a costume contest: Run FOR the law Constables, Sheriffs, Marshalls, Deputies, Arbitrators, Attorneys, Counselors, Judges, Bounty Hunters, Skip Tracers, Posses, FBI, DEA, FDA, Superheroes, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Run FROM the law Outlaws, Robbers, Scoundrels, Gangsters, Smugglers, Pirates, Villains, etc. Wear your most creative costume. Awards will be given for best costume.

Wine and Chocolate Weekend

It's time for the Wine and Chocolate Weekend along the Madera Wine Trail.

February is a time filled with love, chocolate, romance... and wine! Madera Wine Trail's Wine and Chocolate Weekend will be on February 14th and 15th this year, giving all our wine-drinking lovebirds a great way to spend the romantic Valentine's Day weekend. Come out to the tasting room either day (or both!) from 10am-5pm for music, food, and great wine. As always, we will have a rockin' band and a variety of vendors to browse as you taste your way through our exquisite list of local wines!

Storm Preps - How To Stay Safe

As the first large storm of 2015 moves toward Northern and Central California packing heavy rain and gusty winds, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is hard at work preparing for the storm and reminds customers to have a preparedness plan ready as well for potential power outages and other storm related hazards.  The utility is closely tracking the weather system and mobilizing crews and materials into areas that will feel the brunt of the storm, so they can get to work and restore service to impacted customers more quickly.

Fresno Blossom Trail Opens

Warmer days in early February bring the promise that the blossom season is coming soon.  Trail enthusiasts from near and far await the start of the Fresno County Blossom Trail, with the forecast suggesting the blooms will follow their usual start time in late February this year.  This self guided tour through eastern Fresno County celebrates the beauty of the region’s agricultural heritage.  Projected to be in bloom from late February to mid-March  (weather permitting) the Trail features a panorama of blossoming stone fruit orchards and citrus groves alive with fragrance and bursting with color (orange blossoms usually bloom into April).  Colorful orchards are set against the picturesque backdrop of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada Mountains giving travelers the opportunity to enjoy the visual and aromatic experience of Fresno County's rich agricultural bounty.
