Veterans Honored At Clovis/Fresno Business

Great American Car Wash invites Fresno & Clovis community members will honor Veterans Bob Mclaghlin & Charlie Waters as they have their portraits added to a second mural. Currently they are depicted on the Veterans memorial located next to the Great American Car Wash. In addition there will also be a memorial to honor two fallen Valley Soldiers from Clovis, CA.

The November 6th memorial will be a celebration of their dedication and service to our Country. The celebration will include a color guard presentation, Taps performed by Eric Panabaker, National Anthem and God Bless America sung by Silverio Montoya and numerous guest speakers.

City Council members from both Fresno and Clovis were invited and will present the family of the fallen soldiers with a proclamation.

Where To See Fall Foliage

Where To See Fall Foliage

It’s time to enjoy Fall colors in our backyard. CaliforniaFallColor.com has this to say about Yosemite National Park:

The famed exotic sugar maple beside the Yosemite Chapel has shed most of its ruby leaves and sections of the Tioga Road are now past peak.  Isolated stands of yellow aspen can be seen from the Tioga Road down Tenaya Canyon.

The color is descending toward Yosemite Valley.  There, black oak, dogwood and bigleaf maple have not yet begun to show much color, though the area surrounding Fern Spring at the west entrance to the valley is the first to brighten.

In the heart of Yosemite Valley, the black oak are still green, though they approach peak at Halloween and their black branches are typically dressed in bold orange leaves by the first of November.
