It was a busy Tuesday morning for Merced Police. Officers were called to three separate car accidents before noon.

The first accident happened just before 8 a.m. at East 13th Street and D Street. Police say the driver of an Aerostar was making a left turn when he lost control and crashed into a bus. A passenger in the Aerostar, along with two bus riders, were taken to the hospital.

Officers were then called to R Street and West 13th Street around 11 a.m. Witnesses told police that a Chevy pickup didn't stop at a red light. Police say the pickup crashed into another car, then into two parked cars. The driver was thrown out of the pickup. He was flown to a hospital in Stanislaus County. The driver of the other car was taken to a local hospital.

The third crash happened around 12 p.m. at West 18th Street and O Street. Officers say two cars crashed in the middle of the intersection. One driver was taken to the hospital.

Police say none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
